📊 Amazon Tests "More Buying Choices" Directly in Search Results

Amazon is testing a feature that shows alternative seller offers directly on the main page. By tapping "More Buying Choices" under the Add to Cart button, customers can compare prices and delivery dates. This feature is currently in limited testing.

Key Updates:

  • Shoppers can access More Buying Choices directly from search results without leaving the search page.

  • The feature displays alternative sellers, pricing, and delivery estimates in fewer steps.

  • Reduced friction could make it easier for customers to compare competing offers before clicking into a listing.

If Amazon expands this, it could enhance price transparency and boost competition among sellers directly on the search results page. For brands with multiple sellers, maintaining consistent pricing and Buy Box competitiveness will be crucial.

📲 Amazon Brings YouTube Influencer Videos Into Alexa Shopping Experience

Amazon is enhancing Alexa for Shopping by integrating YouTube influencer videos into product discussions, providing more content to help shoppers evaluate products, and emphasizing video in its AI-powered shopping approach.

Key Updates:

  • Alexa for Shopping can now surface YouTube influencer videos during product-related conversations.

  • The videos appear after shoppers interact with prompts on eligible product pages.

  • The update gives brands another opportunity to influence purchase decisions through third-party creator content.

The limited rollout suggests that influencer content may enhance product discovery and evaluation on Alexa. Brands should invest in high-quality video as Amazon expands AI-driven shopping experiences.

🤖 Amazon Is Expanding AI Image Analysis for Product Listings

Amazon is investing in AI for image analysis to enhance product listings through visual signals, increasing the value of product images and improving conversion rates.

Key Updates:

  • Amazon's AI can analyze visual attributes such as age range, gender presentation, facial expressions, and other image characteristics.

  • Image data is evaluated alongside product titles, descriptions, and attribute fields to better understand listings.

  • Strong, relevant imagery may help Amazon better match products to shopper intent across AI-powered experiences.

As Amazon's AI evolves, product images become vital data sources. Brands should regularly review their hero images to ensure they accurately represent the product and target customers.

🧑🏻‍💻 Amazon May Be Testing a Simpler Product Detail Page

Some sellers note that the "Other Sellers on Amazon" section is absent on certain product pages, despite multiple active offers for the same ASIN. Amazon hasn't confirmed changes, suggesting it might be an A/B test.

Key Updates:

  • Some product pages no longer display the "Other Sellers on Amazon" section beneath the Buy Box.

  • The change has been observed even on listings with numerous active third-party sellers.

  • Tests across different accounts and delivery locations have produced mixed results.

Amazon may be testing a cleaner product page that emphasizes the Featured Offer. If this expands, winning the Buy Box could become more crucial as other sellers' offers may be less visible to shoppers.

‼️ Some Amazon Listings Are Temporarily Losing Categories and Best Sellers Rank

Several sellers reported that some ASINs temporarily lost their browse category and Best Sellers Rank (BSR) for hours or days, though the cause is unclear. Early signs suggest this may not significantly affect sales.

Key Updates:

  • Some ASINs are temporarily losing their categories and BSR.

  • Reports show mixed results with no consistent impact on sales.

  • Sellers are tracking metrics like sessions and keyword rankings to assess visibility.

Sellers dealing with disappearing categories should monitor traffic and ranking data instead of just sales figures. Tracking these changes may help assess the impact on organic visibility.

💬 Amazon Adds AI-Powered Store Quality Insights to Store Builder

Amazon has introduced an AI-driven Store Quality feature in the Store Builder that offers brands personalized recommendations to improve their Amazon Store by assessing content, assigning quality scores, and suggesting performance enhancements.

Key Updates:

  • Amazon now provides an AI-generated Store Quality Score along with recommendations inside the Store Builder.

  • The tool highlights which content elements are already contributing to stronger engagement and sales.

  • It recommends additional features, such as shoppable images, videos, text tiles, and sub-pages, to help optimize Store performance.

Amazon's rollout enhances AI use for brands to optimize storefronts. Sellers now receive built-in recommendations based on Amazon's engagement insights, simplifying the process of improving the shopping experience.

Amazon Tightens Main Image Approval Standards

Amazon has become stricter in reviewing main product images, including those submitted through Manage Your Experiments (MYE), with previously approved images now being rejected under tighter enforcement.

Key Updates:

  • Main images must closely match the actual product, including packaging and label colors.

  • Promotional banners or marketing text printed on product packaging are being rejected in some categories, particularly apparel.

  • Visible tags, labels, or similar elements in the image may now trigger disapproval.

  • Decorative effects such as product splashes are no longer being accepted in certain categories where they were previously allowed.

Although Amazon has not announced a formal policy change, sellers should expect stricter image reviews and ensure their main images adhere closely to Amazon's image requirements before submitting updates or A/B tests.
