💬 Amazon Introduces Branded Conversations for Alexa Shopping

Amazon is introducing Branded Conversations, a new Sponsored Brands experience for Alexa for Shopping, scheduled to launch in the U.S. in January 2027. When shoppers tap a Sponsored Brands prompt, Alexa can open a conversation focused on the advertiser’s brand and products.

Key Updates:

  • Brands can provide product knowledge that helps Alexa explain what differentiates their products and which options fit different customer needs.

  • Alexa can use that information to help shoppers choose products and identify complementary items.

  • A shopper could ask for help building a routine or choosing a product and receive recommendations based on the brand’s provided information.

Branded Conversations gives brands another way to guide shoppers through product discovery. Its usefulness will depend on how clearly brands define their products and customer use cases.

📆 Amazon Adds Holiday Deal Dates Ahead of Black Friday

Amazon has added new Holiday Deal dates ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The earlier window gives sellers another opportunity to capture holiday demand before peak shopping days. It also creates a new decision around where to allocate advertising spend.

Key Updates:

  • Sellers can use the holiday period to move inventory and generate revenue before Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

  • Slow-moving products and overstock can be prioritized for the earlier window, while hero products can be reserved for peak traffic.

  • Sellers should treat discounting as one seasonal budget rather than using the same discount depth across every event.

The earlier deal window changes how sellers can structure their Q4 calendar. Using the same discount in both periods could train shoppers to wait for the later event. For many brands, Black Friday margin decisions will start well before November.

🤖 Amazon Ads Expands AI With DVA+ and Smarter Ads Agent

Amazon Ads is introducing DVA+, bringing Sponsored Display, Sponsored TV, and programmatic advertising into one campaign experience. Advertisers can choose a goal, set a budget, and launch campaigns across streaming TV, video, display, and audio.

Key Updates:

  • DVA+ launches in late October: The new setup combines multiple ad formats and can reach shoppers on Amazon and across the open internet.

  • Smarter campaign planning: Ads Agent will be able to size audiences, forecast reach, and recommend budget allocations across campaigns.

  • More automated optimization: Advertisers will be able to ask about campaign performance and apply Sponsored Products bid and budget recommendations directly from the AI interface.

DVA+ brings more advertising formats into a single workflow. Ads Agent is also moving beyond analysis toward more active campaign planning. Together, the updates give advertisers more ways to manage campaigns through Amazon’s growing AI layer.

⚠️ Amazon Adds “High Price” Warning to Best Sellers

Amazon is showing a “High Price” warning on some products that still carry the Best Seller badge. The warning says Amazon has recently seen better prices for the same product from other retailers.

Key Updates:

  • A product can maintain its Best Seller badge while simultaneously receiving a price warning.

  • The warning indicates that Amazon has identified lower prices from other retailers.

  • The feature suggests Amazon is continuing to place greater emphasis on competitive pricing alongside sales performance.

The example shows that strong sales do not automatically mean a product is considered competitively priced. Sellers may need to monitor these pricing signals alongside their sales and conversion data.

🆕 Amazon Ads Makes Campaign Setup Easier With New Presets

Amazon Ads is rolling out “Preset (Beta)”, a new option designed to simplify campaign creation. The feature provides preset keywords, bids, and bidding strategies based on Amazon’s performance insights.

Key Updates:

  • Presets can reduce the time needed to configure a new campaign.

  • Amazon provides starting keywords, bids, and bidding strategies automatically.

  • Presets can give less experienced sellers a data-driven starting point.

Automation can make campaign creation easier, but it doesn’t replace optimization. Sellers still need to monitor ACOS, CPC, conversions, search terms, and overall performance.

❓ Amazon Adds New Dangerous Goods Questions to Four Product Categories

Amazon is introducing new dangerous goods compliance questions for listings in four categories starting October 26, 2026. The questions will appear when sellers create or edit affected listings, rather than requiring immediate changes to existing listings.

Key Updates:

  • Sellers will provide the dominant ink base, marker type based on intended use, and certification that the product meets the applicable dangerous goods exemption.

  • Pool and spa chemicals will require details on trichloroisocyanuric acid concentration, net mass, and individual wrapping, while refrigerators, air conditioners, and freezers will require refrigerant details, including type, code, volume, and mass range.

  • Sellers will need to specify the shock-absorbing material and provide the applicable dangerous goods exemption certification.

Existing listings are not affected until they are created or edited. Sellers should also make sure their SDS is less than five years old, contains all 16 required sections, and matches the product name and brand on the detail page.

📈 Amazon Seller Central Gets a Major AI Upgrade

Amazon is upgrading Seller Central with AI that can move beyond simple questions and answers. The new capabilities are designed to reason through seller data and support ongoing business tasks.

Key Updates:

  • Seller Assistant can analyze seller data, identify issues, and work through more complex tasks instead of only responding to individual questions.

  • Sellers can set recurring tasks such as monitoring reviews, pricing, inventory, listings, or performance and receive updates when something changes.

  • The AI can suggest changes and provide an action plan, while sellers can keep control by requiring approval before anything is changed.

The upgrade could make Seller Central much more useful for day-to-day operations. At the same time, autonomous actions create a need for clear limits and human oversight.
